Artist Statement |
Michael Weiss began his advertising career in New York
City, where he maintained his own studio for over twenty years. His
striking food photographs appeared in "Food and Wine", Chocolatier", "McCalls",
"Family Circle", "Gourmet", "Cusine", and "Woman's Day". In the 1980's
Michael was one of the first photographers in this country to embrace the
art of digital imaging. This led to his being featured in a number of
national photography magazines. His talents were sought by art directors
from New York advertising agencies such as McCann-Erickson, Y&R, Ogilvy
and Mather.
Recently, Michael, a longtime resident of Bedford, New York, moved his
studio from Manhattan's photo district to Stamford, Connecticut. He
continues to work on assignments fro clients such as Coca-Cola, IBM,
Ricoh, Kraft Foods, Pepsi-Cola, Pizza Hut, Hasbro Toys and others.
His first edition floral studies reflect a most fulfilling aspect of his
work. His stunning floral images drew their inspiration from "nature's
glorious forms and magnificent colors". |
